Shower

31683275.4133raindropsThis one was originally a poem that Mike chose to put to music, so it does have a chorus, but that was just mmmmm’s so I’ve left them out here.

Shower.

A raindrop was born in heaven,
And fell to Earth within a storm,
Landed on a mountainside,
On a fresh September morn.

And she started on a journey,
Destiny, she didn’t know,
Instinct took her ‘cross the fields,
And going with the flow

And as her journey took her,
Came across a babbling stream,
Tumbled down the gentle banks,
Joining raindrops in the bream.

And the stream became a river,
They danced on a bed of stones,
And sunlight smiled upon them,
Still more raindrops joined their throng.

As their number went on growing,
Their dance began to slow,
But they waltzed on in their eddies,
Thrown playf’lly by the flow.

As they wound on down the valley,
The moon smiled on them too,
Quickly passed on through the rapids,
Tossed by an undertow.

As the banks grew wider,
Felt a tidal current draw,
Lured them all out to sea,
As they crashed along the shore.

But the sun and moon kept smiling,
As the journey took its strain,
‘Vaporated back to heaven,
Began the journey once again.

A raindrop was born in heaven,
And fell to Earth within a storm,
Landed on a mountainside,
On a fresh September morn.
